I found a nice little flash video on the website for a design company called Logo. It shows the different designs thought up for a logo for a company called Midas Homes. I'd embed it if I could but I can't, so see it here.
As you can see, there are many different concepts thought up before the final design is created, some good and some not so good, but all better than the original in my opinion!
